SUPER VISA PARENTS
The super visa is a multi-entry visa. It provides multiple entries up to 10 years. Eligible parents and grandparents can visit Canada for longer periods of time. It allows to stay for up to 5 years at a time in Canada.
WHO CAN SPONSOR
- Own parents of Canadian citizen / PR of Canada
- Own grandparents of Canadian citizen / PR of Canada
- Can’t include dependents
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS
- Have a signed invitation letter from your child or grandchild to support you financially
- Apply for a super visa from outside Canada.
- Have medical insurance.
- To show strong ties to your home country.
- Clearly show the purpose of your visit.
- Duration of your visit.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
The child who invites in Canada must need to show:
- Promise of financial support for the length of your visit as per the total number of people in the household or dependents.
- The income must meet the available income requirement as set by IRCC
- Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 for the most recent tax year.
- Employment Insurance Benefit statements.
- Employment letter including salary, job title, job description, and date of hiring.
- pay stubs.
- Bank statements.
WHO TO INCLUDE IN THE FAMILY SIZE:
- The Host (i.e. – the child / grandchild)
- The Host’s spouse
- The Host’s dependent children
- The parents or grandparent coming to Canada
- The spouse of the parents or grandparent
- Anyone that Host has previously sponsored and still it application is active
INCOME REQUIREMENTS – 2023
ABOUT MEDICAL INSURANCE:
- It must be from a Canadian insurance company.
- Valid for at least 1 year from the date of entry.
- At least $100,000 emergency coverage.
- Have proof that the medical insurance has been paid in full (quotes aren’t accepted).
HOW THIS STREAM WORKS
