PARENTS SPONSORSHIP
Canadian citizens and permanent residents can sponsor their parents and grandparents. Parents and grandparents will receive Canadian permanent residence and may eventually be able to apply for Canadian citizenship.
WHO YOU CAN SPONSOR
- Own parents
- Own grandparents
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS TO SPONSOR
- At least 18 years old.
- Are a Canadian citizen.
- Are a Permanent resident of Canada.
- Living inside Canada when submit application.
- Be in Canada until the final decision made on application.
- Financially support the people you are sponsoring for a period of time.
- To meet the minimum income requirement of three consecutive years.
FINANCIAL SUPPORT:
Sponsor must need to show:
- Full financial support for 20 years starting when they become permanent resident
- Signed financial agreement which include all basic needs.
- Bank Statements
HOW THIS STREAM WORKS
- Submit interest to sponsor form once open by IRCC.
- After the given timeframe set by IRCC, You are invited to apply.
- Fill out all required forms.
- Provide proof of relationship.
- Provide proof of Canadian residency.
- Provide all the documents that support the application.
- Pay the required fee.
- Apply online.
- Receives Acknowledgement of Receipt (It takes time)
- Medicals
- Submit police certificates
- Biometrics
- PR issued

Minimum timeframe is 3 years (after biometrics)
